Australian bestselling author to visit Cessnock Library
Calling all lovers of Australian historical romantic fiction!
Cessnock Library is excited to be hosting an author talk with Australian bestselling author and local legend, Téa Cooper from 10.30am to 12noon on Thursday 18 January 2018.
Téa will discuss all things writerly and her exciting new novel, The Naturalist’s Daughter, which will be available for purchase and signing on the day.
The Naturalist’s Daughter is the story of Tamsin Alleyn, who has been given a mission: travel to the Hunter Valley and retrieve an old sketchbook of debatable value, gifted to the Public Library by a recluse. But when she gets there, she finds that there is more to the story than meets the eye, and there is more than one interested party.
As the lives of two women a century apart converge, discoveries rise up from the past and reach into the future with irrevocable consequences.
Library Services Co-ordinator, Rose-marie Walters is encouraging locals to come along and enjoy this fabulous and free author talk, which will be followed by a delicious morning tea.
“Téa’s books have wide appeal and win accolades because of her gift of weaving compelling fictional narratives around fascinating historical events in Australia’s past. Fellow Australian author, Peter FitzSimons has described Téa’s new book as ‘an engrossing narrative…fabulous’.”
Book your spot for this event today by calling the Cessnock Library team on 4993 4399 or book in person at the library desk.
