Councillor Jay Suvaal

Ward B

Councillor Jay Suvaal is a local through and through, he was born in Cessnock Hospital, grew up in Kearsley, attended the local primary school, and Mt View High School.

He has played a number of sports locally, including hockey where he has represented Cessnock at the NSW State Championships.

Cr Suvaal's focus is firmly on jobs. As someone who has had to travel out of the area for work, he understands the importance of creating local jobs.

He wants to encourage more jobs in the Cessnock region so locals can remain local – accessing quality jobs and services where they live.

Cr Suvaal will always stand up for the people of Cessnock and work to make our town an even better place to live, work and raise a family.
