Millfield Community Hall Safety & Security Upgrade
Millfield Community Hall has a number of people who hire the space and community members (of all ages) that utilise the facility on a regular basis.
A key element of the hall and surrounding recreation areas being utilised is that the facility is a safe place to visit and members of the community feel a sense of ownership and pride in regards to the facilities provided. However, the ongoing antisocial behavior means users are regularly impacted by damage to the facility as well as constant graffiti.
With the upgrade of the doors for improved security, changing the outside security lights to LED, installation of CCTV cameras and movement sensors, along with flood lights to illuminate dark areas, the project aims to minimise vandalism and increase security.
Works are currently underway and completion is on track for early December 2019.
This project is funded by NSW Government’s Community Safety initiative.
