New Resident Guide

Cessnock City Council has prepared this New Resident Guide to assist and guide new residents to the Cessnock local government area.

This guide provides a range of information for new or prospective residents to Cessnock LGA. In the New Resident Guide, you will find contact information for Cessnock City Council and other services, as well as emergency contacts for our area. You will be given a range of information on community resources, services and access as well as community facilities, such as parks, sporting fields and libraries. This guide also refers to childcare, schools, health and other information a new resident may be searching for.

If you are looking for employment opportunities or to establish or expand your business, Cessnock offers many advantages over other regions. Our city has a supportive and progressive business culture, abundant and affordable land, and established transport infrastructure providing easy access to major domestic and international markets. This is a highly liveable area with an attractive setting, a good range of services and where affordability parallels a strong sense of community.

Should you need further details on any subject, please contact Council’s Customer Service Centre on 4993 4100.
