59/2016/1: Kurri Kurri District Strategy
At the Ordinary Meeting of Council held on 17 May 2017, Council resolved to place the Draft Kurri Kurri District Strategy on public exhibition for a period of six weeks.
The Draft Strategy provides a vision and directions for the future of the District and includes commercial centre masterplans for Kurri Kurri and Weston.
The Draft Strategy responds to the increasing pressure for urban growth and identifies opportunities to revitalise the commercial centres and encourage economic growth, repeat visitation and redevelopment.

The Draft Kurri Kurri District Strategy is on public exhibition between Wednesday 21 June and Wednesday 2 August 2017.

- Friday 14 July 2017 at Weston Civic Centre from 10am to 2pm
- Friday 21 July 2017 at Rotary Park Kurri Kurri from10am to 2pm (Wet Weather option - Library)

Any person may make a written submission in relation to the Draft Strategy. Any views expressed in written submissions will be considered by Council before the Draft Strategy and accompanying plans are finalised.
In order to be considered by Council, submissions must be received by 5.00pm on 2 August 2017 and should quote ‘59/2016/1 – Kurri Kurri District Strategy’. Submissions should be addressed to The General Manager and can be submitted via:
