Draft Revised Compliance and Enforcement Policy

At the Meeting of Cessnock City Council on 2 August 2017, Council resolved to place the Draft Revised Compliance and Enforcement Policy on Public Exhibition.

The Draft Revised Compliance and Enforcement Policy is a comprehensive review of the existing Compliance and Enforcement Policy to ensure it incorporates all enforcement/regulatory functions carried out by Council.  The review provided an opportunity to streamline and re-order the document and to incorporate subsequent legislative changes.  The Policy has also been amended to include that high visibility enforcement take place in school zones and that a warning is given in the first instance for school zone parking offences and minor parking infringements near residential areas.

The Draft Revised Compliance and Enforcement Policy will be on exhibition from 16 August 2017 to 15 September 2017 and also available at the following locations:

  • Council’s Administration Building
  • Cessnock Library and
  • Kurri Kurri Library
