57/2017/5: Draft East Cessnock Flying-fox Camp Management Plan
At the Meeting of Cessnock City Council on 21 June 2017, Council resolved to place the Draft East Cessnock Flying-fox Camp Management Plan on Public Exhibition.
The Draft East Cessnock Flying-fox Camp Management Plan was initiated and lead by Cessnock City Council on behalf of land managers including NSW Department of Industry –Lands and Forestry, NSW Department of Education, NSW Office of Environment and Heritage and other stakeholders including Cessnock East Public School, the Bat Support Group and local impacted residents. A copy of the management plan is available below:
The Draft East Cessnock Flying-fox Camp Management Plan will be on exhibition from 28 June to 31 July 2017. Hard copies can be viewed at the following locations:
- Cessnock City Council’s Administration Building; and
- Cessnock and Kurri Kurri Library.
Any person may make a written submission in relation to the Draft Management Plan. Any views expressed in written submissions will be considered by Council before the Draft Management Plan is finalised.
In order to be considered by Council, submissions must be received by 5.00pm on 31 July 2017 and should quote 57/2017/5: Draft East Cessnock Flying-fox Camp Management Plan. Submissions should be addressed to The General Manager and can be submitted via:
