  • Draft Climate Change Policy to go on public exhibition
    In an effort to address the changing climate affecting the Cessnock Local Government Area, Council has developed a draft Climate Change Policy. The community are encouraged to provide feedback on the Policy during the public exhibition period. The draft Climate Change Policy will be on public exhibition from the 26 February until the 25 March 2020.

Marthaville Craft & Gift Centre

Open from 10am on Friday and Saturday (February to December excluding Public holidays).  Open on other days by appointment.

Enjoy the ambience and charm of Historic Marthaville, Cessnock’s oldest sawn timber home.  Browse the extensive range of locally handcrafted arts and crafts on display and available for sale.  Items include; baby dresses, bibs, booties, shawls, teddies, dolls, knee rugs, embroidered towels, beadwork, bags, patchwork, clothing, hand-painted glassware, porcelain, souvenirs, hand-made cards, novelty items, much more. The gardens and gazebo are open to the public and make a lovely setting for a picnic lunch. The Marthaville function room and gardens are available for bookings for exhibitions, small weddings and other functions. Marthaville Cottage is accessible and there are public amenities available on site.
