Microchip Your Pet
Dogs and cats are required to be microchipped by the time they are 12 weeks of age. If you are selling or giving away your pet, even if under 12 weeks old, it's your responsibility to have them microchipped prior.
You can contact
Councils Customer Service Centre on 02 4993 4100 to arrange an appointment to
have your pet microchipped.
Microchipped animals are registered on the NSW Companion Animals Register.
Owner information needs to be kept up to date visit the NSW Pet Registry.
