After a run of sell out Sydney shows in 2010, Monique Montez now joins Deni Hines in a National Concert Tour celebrating Dusty Springfield’s musical achievements, hit songs, and the impact they had around the world during the era of Black & White Soul.
“Dusty: the Original Pop Diva, The Musical’, was an outstanding success nationwide in 2006, grossing over $20M at the box office and playing to close on 400,000 people across 253 shows and was nominated for 6 Helpmann Awards. Monique Montez wowed audiences with her brilliant portrayal of the legendary Dusty Springfield in the Hit Musical, so jumped at the chance to reunite with Deni on stage once again.

From performing in “We Will Rock You” (Japan), “Fiddler On the Roof” (New Zealand), “Dusty the Original Pop Diva” (Australia) to a “Best Female Vocalist” nomination (12th ACE Awards) and a Helpmann Award nomination for her “Saturday Night Fever” performance, Monique will bring to the show her years of experience and amazing chemistry with Deni.
Deni Hines is one of Australia’s foremost entertainers with over 1.3 million album sales worldwide, Top Ten chart hits in Australia, Japan, France, UK and USA, 3 major hit theatre productions “Jesus Christ Superstar, Big River and Dusty the Original Pop Diva”, Film & TV performances in ‘Mao’s Last Dancer’, ‘Celebrity Apprentice’, ‘Channel V’ and the forthcoming ABC TV series ‘Ms Fishers Murder Mysteries (2012’) and has toured and recorded with the likes of Earth Wind & Fire, Chaka Khan, James Morrison, Christine Anu and more. Deni also received a Helpmann Award nomination for “best supporting actress in a musical” for her role as Reno in Dusty the Original Pop Diva.
The show is a 2 hour spectacular by two of Australia’s leading theatre and pop vocalists, performing together and solo, backed by an amazing band in authentic 60’s costumes.
