Seniors Week

Seniors Week

The Seniors Week Advisory Committee works in partnership with Cessnock City Council to coordinate a range of local Seniors Week activities.

Seniors Week is a time to celebrate the contributions made by Senior people to the local community. Additionally, Seniors Week provides an opportunity for people to participate in a diverse range of activities.

Cessnock City Senior Citizen of the Year

This award is sponsored by Council and is presented annually during Seniors Week. It aims to recognise the invaluable contribution of senior citizens in the Cessnock Local Government Area - either recently or over a long period of time. Many of these dedicated people spend much of their time working for others, and are often unassuming and modest about their efforts. This Award seeks to recognise such efforts.
