Vineyards Visioning

Cessnock City Council is responsible for planning for the future of our local area. Council is committed to ensuring our already thriving area continues to flourish: socially, culturally and economically.

As a part of that commitment, Council will be undertaking a community visioning process to capture and understand the goals and priorities of the community for the Vineyards District. From this process, we will create a community vision and action plan to guide our community into the future.

The Vineyards District is significant to the economy, landscape character and social fabric of the Cessnock Local Government Area, so we believe it is important that the whole community has an opportunity to contribute to a plan for the future of the area. We want to create a plan which is truly representative of the interests and goals of our entire community.

Council would like to invite you to attend a workshop to let us know your ideas about the future of the Vineyards District. There will be two workshops:

Evening Workshop

Date:      Monday 8 August 2011

Time:      7.30pm - 9.00pm

Venue:    Pokolbin Community Hall,
             McDonalds Road Pokolbin

Morning Workshop

Date:      Tuesday 9 August 2011

Time:      10.00am - 12.00pm

Venue:    Pokolbin Community Hall,
              McDonalds Road, Pokolbin

To register your attendance at either workshop please email fee@straight-talk.com.au or telephone 0430 337 607.

If you are unable to make it to one of the visioning workshops you can still have your say on the Vineyards Visioning project. From Friday, 5 August 2011 until 16 September 2011 you can go online to www.vineyardsvisioning.com.au to find out more on the project and share your views with Council. We look forward to working with you on this important project for our community
