School holiday fun at Cessnock Pool Date: 10 September 2012

Cessnock Pool will be open during the September/October school holidays and there will be a special treat in store for patrons.

Council will install a large pool inflatable which includes climbing, balancing, sliding, jumping and diving elements to encourage physical activity and fitness under the supervision of qualified lifeguards. "Children will be able to test their agility with a water activity that takes skill and coordination to balance and navigate," according to Council's Recreation Operations Coordinator, Ms Anne Sander.

The Council-owned floating inflatable will be in operation at the Pool each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of the school holidays between 11am and 1pm (subject to weather conditions).

Entry to the pool is $4.00 per person and $2.00 for spectators, or $10.00 for a family. The entry fee will include the use of the floating activity centre during the school holidays
